Microlight Flying

Freedom Sports Aviation

Learn to fly a Microlight with Freedom Sports Aviation's qualified instructors in fixed and flexwing Microlight aircraft at Long Marston Airfield. Your instructor will be Simon Baker, a three times World Champion pilot, Check pilot and Competition pilot for P&M Aviation. Simon has more than 8000 hours of flying experience. Tuition is on a one-to-one basis during daylight hours, seven days a week at times to suit you.

Flying instruction can be either on your own aircraft or one of the clubs aircraft, but most applicants choose to use the clubs. Typically, students will fly for 1-2 hours per lesson with pre and post flight briefings. Preparations for written exams is undertaken in the club house. With both tarmac and grass runways available stundents are able to fly and gain experience in taking off and landing on different surfaces - ideal for Microlight pilot training.
